Search Result Hover Panel display error after scroll

This is a strange one for sure... when viewing search results the ms-srch-hover-outerContainer shows normally when the ms-srch-item is hovered and while the browser is at the top of the page, but after scrolling down it fails to become visible when the related ms-srch-item is hovered.

If I call the EnsureScriptParams() in the console with the parameters from the related ms-srch-item it will display while at the top of the screen, but not after I have scrolled a single click on the mouse wheel. I see no difference in the code except that the visibility and opacity values do not change while the browser is scrolled down. I get no errors in the console log. Scrolling back to the top relieves the problem, and each ms-search-item can show its hover panel again.

This is happening in IE10, FF, and Chrome.

Has anybody seen anything like this before?

Thanks so much for any help!

Refer to You'll need to either remove position:relative from the col-* classes or set #contentBox and any other parents of .ms-searchCenter-result-main to position:static.
