css questions

Hello and thank you for your time.

First of all, iIn the bootstrap-3-sever.master file there are 4 responsive server css files included...
<SharePoint:CssRegistration Name="<% $SPUrl:~sitecollection/Style Library/ResponsiveServer/Bootstrap3/css/bootstrap3.min.css %>" runat="server" />
<SharePoint:CssRegistration Name="<% $SPUrl:~sitecollection/Style Library/ResponsiveServer/Bootstrap3/css/bootstrap2-custom.min.css %>" runat="server" />
<SharePoint:CssRegistration Name="<% $SPUrl:~sitecollection/Style Library/ResponsiveServer/Bootstrap3/css/sp-responsive.css %>" runat="server" />
<SharePoint:CssRegistration Name="<% $SPUrl:~sitecollection/Style Library/ResponsiveServer/Bootstrap3/css/bootstrap3-custom.min.css %>" runat="server" />
Do I need all of these for a bootstrap 3 implementation? Removing any of them seems to have adverse affects on the styling.

Secondly, if I want to create my own customized bootstrap from and use these files as the 'baseline', is this possible? How should I order the CssRegistration tags in the masterpage?

Thanks so much!

Alert!!!!! you need them. i had a hard time building them. you need them. regarding the layout on the bootstrap baseline you need to use the original layout because you might end up with a "broken " masterpage. the layout should look something like this. NB: it has to be a HTML masterpage!!!
<!--MS:<SharePoint:CssRegistration Name="&lt;% $SPUrl:~sitecollection/Style Library/ResponsiveServer/Bootstrap3/css/bootstrap3.min.css %&gt;" runat="server">-->

Thank you for your reply.

Is it possible to create a customized bootstrap from and use these files along with the 4 css files that come with the responsive server css files?

Also, the responsive server does not generate any html versions of the masterpage, only the .master files. For example. "bootstrap-3-server.master" does not have an associated html file. What do you mean, I have to use an html masterpage? I don't think that the example that comes with the solution does not include an html file.

Yup, it's possible, but you have to be really comfortable plus familiar with the asp, html, css involved to achieve how you do this, like in the video link, even though he jumped some steps, you need to understand for example the (OOTB) oslo and seattle html and css layouts and references respectively which are deployed with sharepoint, see also how they are structured line by line (yeah, line BY line). The basis of the wsp solution provided by this site was for users to have an idea of applying bootstrap to the sharepoint platform and also build on it. . it sounds tedious but its completely worth it. There is no html page layout associated with this bootstrap-3-server master which by definition is a design file and that is all. i am currently trying to make a html layout from it but i need to do more research especially on the hard-coded parts of the file. there is some c-sharp references on the .master file that you have to also consider which means Visual Studio IDE is also involved. i recommend that you only add whatever css link reference, javascript code you need to use for your own project. For your motivation, look for examples online on sharepoint and also bootstrap related stuff. Here are a couple of more links for resources that will help you along the way. BUT FIRST YOU HAVE TO BE MOTIVATED, thats the only way of getting something significant from this. this site is sharepoint powered and is also responsive. personally a must read book for this kind of technology. sharepoint examples of websites and resources. this guy is one of the few pple online who documented some of the experiences using this solution, it's not much though.
