Assembly Reference in WSP?

description

MS have identified this solution as having a reference to an assembly in it which means it will be disabled when they switch off Code Based Solutions on SP Online (30th Nov). Can you confirm if a new version will be released that doesn't contain the reference? Or if this in fact will continue to work once MS disable the use of Code Based Solutions in SP Online

Thanks

The wsp in question, RioLinx.SharePoint.Responsive.Server.wsp, unfortunately does include a dll which is not needed. This is causing the warning, but after Nov 30th, your branding will continue to work without interruption. The catch is that you will be unable to re-activate the wsp solution moving forward. You could actually deactivate and remove the solution now and it will not effect your existing branding.

Two paths moving forward. First is for us to get a patch for which we will work on. Second is if you open the VS solution, open the RioLinx.SharePoint.Responsive.Server project and in the project settings, change the property, Include assembly to false as this is not actually needed.

I was able to address this issue in the wsp version 1.0.1.

https://responsivesharepoint.codeplex.com/releases/view/114361.

Please let me know how this works for you.
