How to remove "Left Menu" from mobile view

Nov 22, 2013 at 5:48 AM
Hi all

How would I remove or hide the Left Menu dropdown altogether from the mobile view? I've removed the left navigation in the master page but can't figure out how to stop the dropdown appearing in mobile.

Hi Brett,

It looks like you might have found a solution to your problem already at, is that correct or are you still seeking a solution?

Hi Brett,

Assuming you are working with the Bootstrap 3 master page, you can add the "hidden-xs" class on the parent div of the left-navbar.
You should get something like this:

<div id="centerarea" class="container">
<div id="MainRow" class="row">
<div class="col-sm-3 col-lg-2 ms-dialogHidden hidden-xs">
<div class="navbar left-navbar navbar-inverse">
<div class="container">
<div class="navbar-header left-navbar">

Hope it helps,

That works for me with the exception of the banded page layout. The left menu appears in desktop browser when I add hidden-xs to
<div id="sideNavBox" class="col-md-3 sidebar-nav ms-dialogHidden ms-forceWrap ms-noList">
