Responsive Frameworks for SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013
Branding SharePoint can be a fun, rewarding yet often times challenging endeavor. SharePoint is extremely powerful, but with that power comes complexity that makes its way into
the front end HTML, JavaScript and CSS as well. You throw Responsive Web Design principles and a grid layout, which is all of the rage right now in web design, and you might be in for it.
Until now.
The goal of this project is to provide popular grid and responsive frameworks converted to SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013. That is right, we are taking the best pre-build web front-end frameworks and doing the hard part for you, converting them to work
within the SharePoint environment. Our current plan is to convert the two most popular frameworks,
Twitter Bootstrap and
Zurb Foundation (4) and convert them to work in both SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013. In SharePoint 2013 we intend to also utilize Design Manager. Documentation
included in each package is very thorough as we attempt to explain how to use the framework packages.
Update Thus far we have converted Bootstrap to work with SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2010. We just released Zurb Foundation (version 4) for SharePoint 2013! This was a long time in the making but I have been very busy on a few other projects.
We need helpers! In particular we are looking for help with testing our new release of Foundation. If you would like to join this project please contact the
project lead. We would like to convert as many frameworks to both SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2010 as possible. We also would like to thank all of those in the SharePoint
community that have provided excellent ideas, code and support.
